Homi v23.12 is now available.
Homi is an app for protecting your home directory. It takes a snapshot of data every hour and saves it to a pen drive or USB drive. If you accidentally delete a file, or if your drive dies, then you can use Homi to recover the data. The backups can be browsed as a normal folder, and you can copy the files that you need.
What’s New
Prune
A button was added for pruning old snapshots. Pruning happens automatically if scheduled snapshots are enabled. This button can be used to prune old snapshots in case scheduled snapshots are not enabled.
Main Window
All windows now use Gtk3 headerbars.
Closing the snapshot window will bring the user back to the Main window instead of closing the app.
Extract Snapshot
An option was added to extract the snapshot to the original location. You can use this to “restore” your home directory after a fresh install. Restart your system after the extraction is complete.
